Well the weekend passed and as usual I didn’t even do half the things I had planned to do. :s I consider procrastination to be the main problem of why I am constantly postponing my success, which rest assured that it will definitely happen. Howcome I am so sure that it will happen? Because I want it to work so much that I am ready to discipline myself.

The problem of me not getting things done isn’t because I am lazy, I think that it is happening because I have too many things in mind. I have my full time job and 3 internet businesses in mind, with each business having several websites. Maybe I should look at focusing on one project at a time. Well I’ll have a think, I am off for now. Oh just remembered I should be posting a php lesson later on today, I am sorry but I didn’t have time in the weekend. Bye for now

More PHP and getting Organized

So today is Friday and I have my second lesson on PHP, I’m really looking forward to it. Hopefully I’ll post my notes on the first two PHP lessons by Monday that way you may choose to follow the course with me. Something else I am doing at the moment is that of organizing myself, at present I have a mess. Various spreadsheets with login details of several accounts, no track whatsoever of costs well a total disaster. To be really successful I definitely need to organize myself therefore this weekend is going to be the “Organizing Weekend” Well I’m off now to attend my lesson, talk later!

Learning PHP

For me to be successful in my quest to become wealthy by working from home; I realized that I need to learn new skills. One of this is to learn PHP therefore yesterday I started a course in PHP. To keep everyone in the loop I will be posting the notes on a weekly basis. This way I’ll keep you updated on my progression and why not, you might also decide to learn php with me. Time to Wake Up!

So more than 3 years have passed since I started working in the internet marketing arena, now its time for me to wake up and start earning my own bucks. Ok, before I already had a blurry idea of how internet marketing worked but its only since I started working within the field as a professional that I really got the conviction that earning a living through the web is possible. In these past 3years many ideas passed through my mind but implemented none of them. Why did this happen? Well its mainly cause of to reasons:

1. After a day of work I wouldn’t feel like working anymore

2. Had too many ideas and projects in mind, therefore I ended up finishing none of them

Now I am realizing that it’s time to kick start my dream, which is working from home and possibly becoming wealthy from home. For now I am going to stick to my full time job and work on my stuff after work. I have a plan in mind to make some good money by December through affiliate marketing. If that succeeds than I may start considering quitting my full time job to follow my dream on a full time basis. I know that it’s going to be tough in the beginning but once it does start working it shouldn’t be that hard to expand. I’ll be posting frequently on my way to my dream so please do follow my blog. Cuil Does Not Spider Itself!

Is Google facing stiff competition from Cuil? Well I really don’t think so… Have a look at the screenshot below. I searched for the keyword “Cuil” in cuil.com and it lead to no cuil.com pages being listed. Then I did a search for “http://www.cuil.com” and once more no cuil pages appeared therefore one may safely assume that cuil.com hasen’t been spidered yet. Well Cuil is definitely not off to a good start…..

I guess you already heard about it, Cuil, a search engine that has been mentioned prominently lately in the media. Why so? Well cause this search engine has been developed by a group of ex google employees and therefore the expectations around it are pretty high. So did you have a look at it? if not just go to http://www.cuil.com.

The makers or Cuil are boasting that cuil is the search engine that spiders most pages which is true but on the other hand I hope that they don’t boast on it’s layout and search results. I really don’t like the colour scheme and the way the results appear, I think it is too messy. The search results are something else that I don’t like, Google’s search results are by far better than Cuil’s, to mention it all even yahoo’s, ask’s and live’s search results are better. But not all is bad, a feature that I really liked is the related search feature. When someone searches for a particular keyword, Cuil offers a few related searches which will narrow’s one search results and help him find what he wants quicker. Summing it all up I really think that there still is a long way to go if they really want to compete with the big G.

I am sure that most of you already have a paypal account and use it to purchase online, but unluckily not all websites accept paypal. Well now paypal have come up with a solution for that with the paypal plugin. With paypal plugin it’s possible to purchase safely online through any website. The main advantages of the paypal plugin are two:

Many people ask themselves the one million dollar question which is, is it possible to make money on the internet? The answer to that question is YES! Is Facebook Addictive?

YES it is! I was one of those guys that didn’t like Facebook and considered it a waste of time. The reason why I never liked Facebook were the applications, I always thought that they made Facebook appear too cluttered. On the other hand I always thought that Facebook is a cool way to keep in touch with everyone. Before moving on I’d like to repeat myself once more by saying that IMO Facebook is a time waster but I have to admit that I did start loving it, even the applications! How come the change of heart? Well I received an invitation to a mobsters game (Facebook application) called “Mob Wars” and I must admit that it really got to me. I always had a liking to these mafia games, I found Mob Wars very relaxing, it is a very simple game but at the same time the fact that I am playing against other people makes it very interesting. Now I ended up logging into Facebook every few hours just to check my status in Mob Wars and keep things going. Hope I’ll manage to rule the city!
